On Creating Visuals

I have seen so many presentations over the course of my career and while most of them are good at conveying the process, idea or report many of them fall very short on the graphics part of the presentation. Quite often, the presenter will brush off there artistic talent as the main reason for not conveying visually what they mean. This is a huge miss because many of us are visual learners and will spend more time looking at the visuals and less time the presenter. This article says as much as 65% of people are visual learners which means some presenters are presenting to the 35%.

My schooling is in design and I always strive to make strong visuals. And as I evolve this blog, I thought it would be fun to marry my old life in design with my new life in marketing to make interesting visuals about all sorts of things.

So without further delay, below is my first visual - it’s my work as a Venn Diagram. Why a Venn Diagram? Because its simple, easy and conveys overlap between concepts.
